(9 October 2016)

FGB has launched its 6th ‘Nujoom’, or 'stars', Management Trainee Programme for Emirati students, to provide them with real-world industry exposure through ‘on-the-job’ experience.

The trainees, drawn from local and international universities, will embark on an 18-month programme which will prepare them to take on their first management appointment at the bank when they graduate.

Noora Al Reyasi, Head of Learning and Development at FGB, said, "To date, we have graduated 59 trainees from the Nujoom programme, who have all proven to be strong and talented leaders in various positions throughout the bank. At FGB, we are committed to fostering a strong talent-pool, as well as arming young Emiratis with the skills they need to progress in their careers and become tomorrow’s leaders."

The Nujoom programme was launched in 2012 as part of the bank’s ongoing strategy to support the training and development of young Emiratis who are aspiring to forge a career in the banking and financial services sector.
